The mother of murdered police officer Moses Walker, Jr., led a peace walk through North Philadelphia Wednesday afternoon. Wayne Walker had already buried her first son after he was shot to death in 2001. (Read more.)

Mothers in Charge celebrates ninth anniversary event

On Tuesday, May 15, Mothers in Charge, an organization made up of the mothers of murdered children dedicated to bringing peace to Philadelphia’s streets, held its Ninth Annual Mothers Still Standing event. This year’s event attracted women from around the country who have suffered the same kind of pain and are turning that pain into power in their communities. (Read more.)
