"Teens With Power" are sons, daughters, sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews consisting of all races, religions and lifestyles working toward the common goal of eliminating the negative depiction of teenagers by making a positive difference in Philadelphia and the surrounding communities. "Teens With Power" work in harmony with Mothers In Charge to reduce the number of violent acts taking place in our communities. "Teens With Power" was first started in April, 2004. We are determined and dedicated to doing something new in our city. Teens With Power have taken part in peace walks, healing services, the Million Mom March, a live radio broadcast with 103.9 --- The Beat, Taping of a public service announcement that airs regularly, and many other community events and programs. "Teens With Power" would like to personally acknowledge you for your interest in our group. We realize that there is something special about you because you have considered making a difference in your community. We hope that you will be an asset to our group and be committed to the goals that we plan to achieve. We realize that it will not be easy, however, with your dedication, A Change CAN Be Made. Your involvement will make our city and world a better place for you and our future generations. So again we say thank you.
