Last week, I was invited by Vice President Joe Biden to the White House to discuss issues of gun violence and the cost of violence in communities.  I shared the stories of Mothers In Charge members and the important partnerships we have made with mothers in organizations like Mothers In Charge across this nation.

Our meeting at the White House was an important milestone, but there is much more work to be done. We are ready for action and wish to build larger alliances for lasting change.

In our 10th year, Mothers In Charge is driven to work with you to build a national coalition and discuss violence as a public health crisis. Our upcoming conference, The Cost of Violence: Breaking the Cycle, Bridging the Gap, will be an important opportunity to bring together key stakeholders – women, men, children, public safety, health providers, public officials, and community organizations – to weigh in on the conversation and develop a strategy for effective action moving forward.

Please consider a tax-deductible donation to Mothers In Charge and join the movement towards ending gun violence.  Your donation will support our mission and the thousands of people we serve. DONATE HERE  Thank you!
